With Styles in RoomSketcher’s Web Portal, you can easily customize the look of your 3D Floor Plans.
Styles let you control how your floor plan is presented. You can adjust colors, wall appearance, room names, furniture visibility, and many other visual elements. This makes it easy to create 3D floor plans that match your needs — whether you want a clean presentation or a realistic plan that highlights interior designs with your branding.
Pro subscribers can apply one Style to their account, and the changes update instantly when you generate a floor plan. Team subscribers can create and use multiple different Styles.
Watch our short introduction video and see below how to set it up yourself.
Where Can I Find Styles?
Styles are available for Pro and Team subscribers in web portal.
To access Styles:
- Sign in to web portal at app.roomsketcher.com.
- In the left menu, click Styles.
- Scroll down to Floor Plans and click 3D Floor Plans.
-
Click one of the options to customize the appearance of your floor plans.
What Can I Customize?
You can customize many elements of your 3D Floor Plan, including:
Furniture
-
All furniture – All furniture you have added in your RoomSketcher project will be included.
-
Fixed installations – Only items marked "fixed" will be included. Fixed installations include kitchen and bathroom furniture, as well as wardrobes and fireplaces. To mark an item as fixed, select it in the RoomSketcher App in your project, click Advanced Properties on the right, and check Fixed.
-
No furniture – No furniture or fixed installations will be included. However, your plan will still include doors, windows and stairs.
Wall Cut Height
With Wall Cut Height, you control at which level your walls are cut. All items placed above it are cut away from the floor plan.
Please note
- The 3D Preview always shows all items, and doesn't reflect the wall cut height setting.
- On a floor plan with sloped ceiling, the wall is not cut unless the wall cut height is below the lowest point of the sloped ceiling.
Examples
On the left, the wall cut height is set to 50 inches (1.3 meters). Notice that the kitchen wall cabinets are cut off. The image on the right doesn't have a wall cut height, so the walls don't get cut off and go over windows and doors.
Visible Elements
- Room Names - If you have added room names, you can choose whether or not you want them to be included on your 3D Floor Plan (see Add and Move Room Names).
- Room Sizes - You can choose whether or not you want zone (room) sizes to be included in your 3D Floor Plan that you have specified (see Display the Area of a Room on Floor Plans).
- Furniture Labels - You can choose whether or not furniture labels should be included when rendering 3D Floor Plans. If this option is chosen, furniture labels will be included when you have added them to items in your project (see also Add Labels on Furniture).
- Always Show Fixed Ceiling Items - With this option, items marked as both Ceiling Item AND Fixed Installation will be included in the 3D Floor Plan, even if it is placed above Wall Cut Height. This option is particularly useful if you have a skylight in your floor plan, and want to include it in 3D. To mark an item as Fixed, select it in the RoomSketcher App in your project, click Advanced Properties on the right, and check Fixed.
Colors
You can change the color for text, block arrow fill and line color (the arrow that you usually set to mark the entrance), and wall top (the surface of the cut walls).
Camera
You can change the camera's pitch, position, and field of view.
- Camera Pitch - The camera pitch determines the vertical angle of the camera. You can choose anything between -90 and 0 degree pitch. A pitch of -90 degrees means the camera is pointed directly downward, and a pitch of 0 degrees places the camera horizontal.
Camera Pitch -90: Camera Pitch 0:

- Camera Position - The camera position controls the horizontal ratio of the camera when rendering the 3D Floor Plan. You can choose camera positions between -179 and 180 degree.
