2D Floor Plans – Customize Your Kitchen

RoomSketcher Pro and Team subscribers can customize how a kitchen appears on 2D Floor Plans. This article describes:

Choose Color for Your Kitchen

You can choose a color that fills the kitchen cabinets and appliances, and a color for the outline of the items. In this example, we've used a teal color for the filling and black outline.

  1. First, draw your kitchen in the RoomSketcher App and save it.
  2. Open Advanced Profile Settings and go to 2D Floor Plan tab.
  3. Next to Kitchen Item Fill Color, click the pencil and choose a color that will be used to fill in the item. You can pick a color from the drop down, or type a color using HEX codes.
  4. Do the same for Kitchen Item Outline Color
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Minimize or close the Profile Setting screen and return to the RoomSketcher App. Your choice will appear the next time you generate 2D Floor Plans.
Tip: You can also preview a floor plan to quickly see the change.

Line options include:

  • Dotted line complete – there will be a dotted line above your kitchen in 2D Floor Plans (whether or not you have drawn wall cabinets).

  • Dotted line cabinets – there will be a dotted line above your kitchen if you have added wall cabinets. There will be no dotted line if you have not drawn wall cabinets in your kitchen.

  • Solid line complete – there will be a solid line above your kitchen in 2D Floor Plans (whether or not you have drawn wall cabinets).

  • Solid line cabinets – there will be a solid line above your kitchen if you have added wall cabinets. There will not be a solid line if you have not drawn wall cabinets in your kitchen.

  • Individual cabinets – each individual wall cabinet you add to your kitchen will be drawn separately, instead of one straight line over your entire kitchen.

  • No cabinet line – there will never be a line indicating wall cabinets in your kitchen, whether you draw wall cabinets or not.
