Here are three issues that users have encountered with floor material:
- Floor Material Doesn’t Stick in Web Editor, and Shows a Red x.
- Chosen Floor Material Doesn’t Display in Live 3D.
- 2D Floor Plan Doesn’t Show Desired Floor Material.
Floor Material Doesn’t Stick in Web Editor
Have you ever tried to drag in a material, and it won’t stick, and displays a red x? This occurs if you haven’t created a complete, closed geometrical shape for your walls – in other words, the walls don’t close completely together.
In the example below, the wall on the top left is actually not completely snapped into the vertical wall on the left and the floor material has a little red x on it. So, check carefully that each wall is connected to another wall to create a completely enclosed shape. Tip: We’ve made our example obvious, but you may need to zoom in (use your mouse wheel or the Zoom tool in the bottom toolbar) to see which wall is not connected.
Chosen Floor Material Doesn’t Display in Live 3D
If you have changed your floor material in Web Editor, and it doesn’t update in Live 3D, then you should clear your browser’s cache. While the steps for each browser are different, this is often accomplished using Tools > Options.
2D Floor Plan Doesn’t Show Desired Floor Material
The displayed flooring for a 2D floor plan is taken from your 2D Floor Plan profile settings. Pro Subscribers can customize profile settings. VIP and Free Subscribers are not able to modify the profile settings.
