RoomSketcher Pro subscribers can use profile settings to speed up work and keep floor plans consistent. Profile Settings are available when you sign in to your RoomSketcher Account on the web. This article covers how to:

Access 2D Floor Plan Profile Settings
- Go to www.roomsketcher.com and Sign In to your RoomSketcher Pro account. Your Web Account opens.
- Click the Account tab and then click Account Settings.
- On the Account Settings page, click Advanced Profile Settings.
- A series of tabs appears. Click the 2D Floor Plan tab.
Review 2D Profile Setting Choices
On the 2D Floor Plan tab, you have the options listed below:
- Tip: Remember to click Apply after you have made a change in the profile settings. If you leave the 2D Floor Plan tab without clicking Apply, any setting you changed will go back to the way they were before you changed them.
Render Furniture – Controls what kind of furniture will be included when you render 2D Floor Plans. You have 3 options:
- All Furniture – This option means that all furniture you have added in your RoomSketcher project will be included if you render a 2D Floor Plan.
- Fixed Installations – This option means that only the fixed installation will be included when you render 2D Floor Plans. Fixed installations include kitchen and bathroom furniture, as well as wardrobes and fireplaces.
- No furniture – This option means that no furniture or fixed installations will be included when you render 2D Floor Plans. However, your plan will still include doors, windows and stairs.
Kitchen Wall Cabinets – This controls how your kitchen wall cabinets will be indicated in 2D Floor Plans. You have 6 options:
- Dotted line complete – This means that there will be a dotted line above your kitchen in 2D Floor Plans.
- Dotted line cabinets – This means that there will be a dotted line above your kitchen if you have added wall cabinets. There will be no dotted line if you have not drawn wall cabinets in your kitchen.
- Solid line complete – This means that there will be a solid line above your kitchen in 2D Floor Plans.
- Solid line cabinets – This means that there will be a solid line above your kitchen if you have added wall cabinets. There will not be a solid line if you have not drawn wall cabinets in your kitchen.
- Individual cabinets – This means that each individual wall cabinet you add to your kitchen will be drawn separately, instead of one straight line over your entire kitchen.
- No cabinet line – This means that there will never be a line indicating wall cabinets in your kitchen, whether you draw wall cabinets or not.
Render Zone Names – This option lets you choose whether or not you want zone (or room) names to be included on your 2D Floor Plan. If this option is checked, the zone names you have added (see Add and Move Room Names) will be included when you render 2D Floor Plans
Render Zone Sizes - This option lets you choose whether or not you want zone (room) sizes to be included in your 2D Floor Plan. If this option is checked, the zone sizes you have specified (see Add and Move Room Names) will be included when you render 2D Floor Plans
Render Outside Measurements – This option lets you choose whether or not outside measurements will be included on your 2D Floor Plans. If this option is checked, outside measurements will be included when you have added them by using the instructions in this article: Display Outside Wall Measurements on 2D Floor Plans
Render Product Labels – This option lets you choose whether or not product labels should be included when rendering 2D Floor Plans. If this option is checked, product labels will be included when you have added them in your project.
Wall Cut Height – Ignore this option for 2D Floor Plans.
Wall Top Color – This option lets you choose the color on top of your walls in 2D Floor Plans. You can add a hex code for any custom color, or choose a predefined color from a drop-down-menu.
The resulting floor plan will look like this:
Floor Color – This option lets you choose your default color on your floor for 2D Floor Plans. You can add a hex code for any custom color, or choose a predefined color from a drop-down-menu.
Item Fill Color – This option lets you choose the color that will fill any furniture in your floor plan. You can add a hex code for any custom color, or choose a predefined color from a drop-down-menu.
Item Outline Color – This option lets you choose the color that will mark the outline of any furniture in your 2D Floor Plan. You can add a hex code for any custom color, or choose a predefined color from a drop-down-menu.
Glass Outline Color – This option lets you choose the color that will mark the outline of glass (windows) in your 2D Floor Plan.
Kitchen Top Color – This option lets you choose the color that will fill any kitchen items in your 2D Floor Plan.
Assign Floor Colors for Room Types
You can choose a different floor color for each room type in your floor plan.
- From your Profile Settings screen, choose the 2D Floor Plan – Rooms tab.
- You have 3 options for each Room Type:
Default – If you choose this option, the room type will get the same default color that you chose as Floor Color in the 2D Floor Plan tab.
Color – This option lets you choose your default color for this room type. You can add a hex code for any custom color you want to use, or choose a pre-defined color from a drop-down-menu.
Material – This option let you add a material to use for this room type. You can choose from a list of materials that include different types of hardwood or tiles. - Once you have chosen a color or material for a room type, click Apply.
- Close the Profile Settings page.
- Finally, be sure to assign room types as described next.
Assign Room Types to Rooms
In order to use the colors or materials you have chosen in your profile settings, you need to assign room types to specific room in your floor plan.
- Open a project in the RoomSketcher App and click into one of the rooms in your plan when in Walls mode.
- On the right side, click Room Type.
- Assign a room type.
Tip: Preview the 2D floor plan to see how it looks with the new profile settings.
