Live 3D from Web Portal

You can access Live 3D directly from your web portal on a phone, tablet, or computer. This version opens in a browser – perfect for showing Live 3D while on the go. Easily review floor plans during meetings, on-site visits, or while working remotely. 

Live 3D is included in Pro and Team plans, as well as with a Premium Project Upgrade.

How Do I Start Live 3D from my Web Portal?

You can open Live 3D from a phone, tablet, or computer.

To open Live 3D in your web portal:

  1. Sign in to your web portal and open My Projects
  2. Click the project you want to view in Live 3D.  
  3. Click the Live 3D icon in the top-right menu.

What is Flyover Mode? (Live 3D on Web Portal)

Flyover mode lets you view the entire floor plan from above for a full layout overview.

To open Flyover mode, click the Plane icon in the bottom left of the Live 3D window.

How Can I Navigate in Flyover Mode? (Live 3D on Web Portal)

  • Zoom: On a computer, use your mouse wheel. On a tablet, pinch in or out. On either type of device, you can also click the menu in the top right (3 vertical dots) and click Zoom to open a zoom controller.

  • Tilt and Rotate: On a computer, use the arrow buttons on the right, your keyboard arrow keys, or drag with your mouse. On a tablet, simply touch and drag.
  • Top Tip: Hold Shift on your keyboard and drag the floor plan with your mouse to move it in the Live 3D window.
     

What are the Flyover Mode Settings? (Live 3D on Web Portal)

You can click the menu in the top-right corner to view the Flyover mode settings.

  • Select Floor: Choose the floor to display (for projects with multiple floors).
  • Zoom: Open the Zoom controller.
  • Exterior Walls: Check the box to show the front exterior walls. Clear the box to hide the front walls. 
  • Shadows: Check the box to show shadows from walls and furniture. Clear the box to hide shadows.

  • Mirror Reflections: Check the box to show mirror reflections. Clear the box to hide any mirrors. 

What is 1st Person Mode? (Live 3D on Web Portal)

1st Person mode lets you step right inside the rooms.

To open 1st Person mode, click the icon in the bottom left of the Live 3D window and click 1st Person.

How Can I Navigate in 1st Person Mode? (Live 3D on Web Portal)

  • Move Forward and Back (Zoom): On a computer, use your mouse wheel,or  the up and down keyboard keys. On a computer or tablet, use the up and down buttons on the right of the window. 
  • Move Left and Right: On a computer, use your right and left arrow keys. On a computer or tablet, use the right and left buttons located on the right of the screen. 
  • Tilt and Rotate: On a computer, drag with your mouse. On a tablet, simply touch and drag.
  • Change the view height: Click the menu in the top right (3 vertical dots), then click Height to open the height controller.

You can click the menu in the top right to see the 1st Person mode settings.

  • Height: Open the Height controller and adjust the camera height. Use - to lower the camera, + to raise it, and the clock icon to reset the height.

  • Shadows: Check the box to show shadows from walls and furniture. Clear the box to hide shadows.

  • Mini-map: Check the box to show a mini-map of your floor plan with the view location. Clear the box to hide the mini-map.

Live 3D in web portal opens in a browser and you can view it on a phone, tablet, or computer, making it perfect for showing your Live 3D while on the go. Live 3D from the RoomSketcher App opens in a window in the app on a computer and is perfect for viewing your project while you edit it and for aligning snapshots and 3D photos.

I made a change in the RoomSketcher App. Why don’t I see it in Live 3D from web portal?
Be sure to save any changes you made in the RoomSketcher App. Then refresh or restart Live 3D from web portal.

Can I Share Live 3D?
Live 3D can be shared so that clients, colleagues, friends, or family can experience your floor plans. Premium Projects are ready to be shared. Pro and Team subscribers need to enable 'Share Live 3D' for specific projects. Read more here: Share Live 3D
