2D Floor Plans – Assign Room Types to Rooms

If you are using a 2D Floor Plan profile that displays floor colors or materials, you must assign a room type to each room so the correct colors appear on your generated 2D Floor Plan. Without room types, your plan will not show the intended color scheme.

When Do I Need to Assign Room Types?

You need to assign room types in RoomSketcher when you selected a 2D Floor Plan profile that uses colors or materials per room type.

If the colors are missing or everything looks the same, it usually means the room types have not been set.

How Do I Assign Room Types?

Follow these steps to make sure your 2D Floor Plan displays the right colors for each room.

1. Open a project in the RoomSketcher App and click Walls mode.
2. Click on one of the rooms in your project.
3. On the right, it's Properties appear. Click Room Type.
4. Choose a Room Type from the list.
