On 2D Floor Plans, kitchen base cabinets are automatically sized to a depth of 600 mm (23.6 inches), regardless of whether they have been resized to a different depth. This ensures that the 2D Floor Plan shows a kitchen with straight cabinet lines, which is what most users want.
If you want your 2D Floor Plan to show varied cabinet depths, here's a workaround: Use bathroom base cabinets instead - this type of cabinet will appear as sized on 2D Floor Plans. Here are the general steps:
- In Furniture mode, search for Bathroom Base Cabinet to locate your options and add one (or more) to your kitchen.
- Search for Kitchen Countertop, add a countertop to the bathroom base cabinet, and size it.
- With the Kitchen Countertop selected, use Replace Materials to make it the same color as the rest of the kitchen countertops. For more detailed steps, see Change the Material or Color on Kitchen Cabinets and Countertops.
Tip: If needed, adjust the Height Above Floor of the kitchen countertop so that it is the same height as your other base cabinets.
