This article describes the steps using Web Account. If you are using the RoomSketcher App, see Generate and Print 2D and 3D Floor Plans.

Once you have created a project in the RoomSketcher App, you are ready to generate high-quality 2D and 3D Floor Plans. You can generate floor plans right from the RoomSketcher App, or from Web Account.

This article covers the steps in Web Account for these topics:

Generate All Floor Plans

Users with a professional subscription can generate all of a project’s 2D and 3D Floor Plans plans at once. 

1. Go to www.roomsketcher.com and Sign In. Your RoomSketcher Web Account opens.
2. Click the Projects tab. 
   
   
   
   
3. Your project list opens. Click a project name. The Project Dashboard opens.
4. On the left, click Generate Floor Plans. 
   
   
   
   
   
5. The Generate Floor Plans page appears.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Click either:
   • Generate All, to generate all the floor plans in the project. This option generates any floor plan that has changed since the last time you generated.
   • Generate 2D Floor Plans. To generate any 2D Floor Plan that has changed since the last time you generated.
   • Generate 3D Floor Plans. To generate any 3D Floor Plan that has changed since the last time you generated.
     
7. Click your browser refresh button to check the status of the order. When complete, you can download your floor plans from the Download options.

When you choose to Generate All Floor Plans, only the floor plans that are new or have changed will be re-generated. If an existing floor plan has not changed, it will not be re-generated.

Generate Individual Floor Plans

All users can generate individual floor plans. You can either watch this short video or follow the steps below.

To generate individual floor plans

1. Go to www.roomsketcher.com and Sign In. Your RoomSketcher Web Account opens.
2. Click the Projects tab. Your project list opens.
3. Click a project name. The Project Dashboard opens.
   
   
   
   
4. The next step depends on your subscription:
   If you have a professional Subscription:
   In the center of the Project Dashboard, find the 2D and 3D Floor Plans boxes. To generate a floor plan, click Generate.
   
   
   
   If you have a Free Subscription:
   You can purchase floor plans:
   On the right, click the arrow next to Levels and then click either Generate 2D Floor Plan or Generate 3D Floor Plan. Follow the payment instructions on the screen.
   
   
   
   If you have a Premium Project:
   2D Floor Plans are free or charge, 3D Floor Plans can be purchased.
   
5. An order confirmation appears. Click your browser refresh button to check the status of the order. When complete, you will see a thumbnail of the floor plan. 

Good to Know

• 2D Floor Plans generate in less than a minute.
• 3D Floor Plans may take from 15 minutes up to one hour to generate.
• The floor plan generates in the background, so you can go on with other design work while your floor plan is created.
