How Do I Download and Print My Floor Plans from Web Portal?

  • Updated

You can easily download your 2D and 3D Floor Plans directly from web portal. The web portal is what you see when you sign in to RoomSketcher in a browser at app.roomsketcher.com.

There are many places where you’ll find the Download option — you’ll see the download symbol download icon.png in the Project Overview, inside a Project, and even when you open a specific Floor Plan. In other words, downloads are available almost everywhere.

The steps below explain how to download when you are directly inside a project.

Tip for Team Subscriptions

If you have a Team subscription with multiple profiles, the admin will also see a Save Settings option at the bottom. When activated, the selected download options will become the default settings for all future downloads across the entire account.

What is a Letterhead?

A Letterhead adds professional project information to your exported floor plans. It can include your logo, contact details, project name, scale, and other useful information. Letterheads make your floor plans look polished and ready for presentations, listings, client handouts, or print.

Letterhead Options when Downloading Floor Plans

When you choose to include a Letterhead in the download window, you can pick from several options:

  • Standard: Downloads your floor plan with a Letterhead, without using a specific scale.
  • Multi-floor: Keep Relative Size: Available for multi-level projects – this option keeps the relative size between floors, so the floor with the smallest footprint in your project will also appear smallest when downloaded.
  • Multi-floor: Combined: Available for multi-level projects – choose this if you want to export all levels/floors of your project to appear together on one page.
  • Scale: Use a scale option if you want your floor plan saved at an exact, measurable scale.
For example, select Scale 1/2" = 1'-0" if you want ½ inch on the drawing to represent 1 foot in real life.

You can also adjust:

  • Orientation: Portrait or Landscape
  • Paper Size: Choose the paper size that fits your needs (such as Letter, Legal, etc.)
