How Can I Download and Print My Floor Plans from the RoomSketcher App?

Do you want to export your floor plan or save it as a file? With RoomSketcher, you can easily download and print your floor plans directly from the app. This quick guide will show you exactly how to get your floor plans ready to share or keep for your records.

What Steps Should I Follow to Download and Print my RoomSketcher Floor Plans?

With these three easy steps, you can download and print your floor plans. Whether you're sharing them with a client or saving them for reference, RoomSketcher makes it simple.

Step 1: Create Your Project

  1. Create your project in the RoomSketcher App: Draw Your First Floor Plan
  2. Save your changes. 
     

Step 2: Generate Your Floor Plans

  1. Open the Icon - Main Menu.png Menu and under the Project column, click on 2D Floor Plans or 3D Floor Plans.

  2. Click Generate.
    Pro and Team subscribers get the option to Preview their floor plans.

  3. Click the link 2D Floor Plan order in progress to check the status of the render. 
    • 2D Floor Plans take just a few seconds.
    • 3D Floor Plans take around 15 minutes.

Step 3: Download Your Floor Plans

Once you have drawn your project and generated a 2D and/or 3D Floor Plan, you can save your floor plans to your computer or tablet.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Open the 2D or 3D Floor Plans page as described above, and review your generated floor plans. 
  2. Click Save to DiskThe Save Floor Plan page opens. 
  3. Choose the appropriate format option and paper size (see this article for more information on each option).

  4. Click Save to Disk. On a tablet, your floor plan is saved to your Photos app.
  5. On a computer, select the desired folder in which to save the file and click Save.  


     

The steps above describe how to download individual floor plans. If you have a Pro or Team subscription, you can download all the floor plans in a project at once from your browser. To learn how, see Download All Floor Plans.

 

How Can I Print My Floor Plans?

You can also print your floor plans directly from the RoomSketcher App. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the 2D or 3D Floor Plans page as described above, and review your generated floor plans. 
  2. On the 2D or 3D Floor Plans page, click Print
    Tip: The Print button is not available on a tablet.

  3. The Print page appears. Choose a format option and paper size (see this article for more information on each option). Then click Print.


     
  4. Your printer dialogue opens. Choose your printer (if you have more than one).
  5. Click OK to start printing. 

To print a floor plan from your tablet, save the floor plan in your Photos app and print it from there. 
 

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I print with a Free subscription?
Yes! With a Free subscription, you can print your floor plans after generating them. Just keep in mind that generating 2D and 3D Floor Plans require an in-app purchase before you can print or download them.

Can I include my branding on the printed floor plans?
If you have a Pro or Team subscription, you can customize your floor plans with your logo and company details before downloading or printing. It’s a great way to make your plans look professional. Just contact us and we'll set it up for you.

How can I print my 2D Floor Plans with all measurements or all dimensions?
First, add your measurements by following the steps outlined here. Then, generate and print your 2D Floor Plan — all your measurements will appear on the printout when they were added to the floor plan.

Can I download all my floor plans at once?
If you’re a Pro or Team user, you can bulk-download all the floor plans in a project from your web portal. Please find more information here: Download All Floor Plans in a Project from a Browser

Do I need to be online to download my floor plans?
Yes, you’ll need an internet connection to generate and download your floor plans from the RoomSketcher App.
