Where Can I Find the Measurement Wizards?

Follow these steps to access the Measurement Wizards.

1. After you have drawn your floor plan, click Windows etc. mode.
   
   
   
    
2. Click or tap Measurement Wizards. Four wizards appear:
   
   

What Type of Measurements Can I Add with the Wizards?

• Room Measurements: Add measurements along all the inside walls of a room.
   
• Wall Measurements: Add measurements to a single wall, either inside or outside.
   
• Room Dimensions: Show the overall length and width in the center of each room.
   
• Outside Measurement: Display the total length and width of your entire floor plan.

How Do I Add Inside Wall Measurements to a Room?

To add measurements along all the inside walls of a room, follow these steps:

1. Click Room Measurements and then click on a room.
2. Arrow lines and wall length text labels appear.
   
   

How Do I Add Inside or Outside Measurements to a Wall?

To add measurements to a single wall, either inside or outside, follow these steps: 

1. Click Wall Measurements and then click next to either side of a wall.
2. Arrow lines and wall length text labels appear next to the wall.
   
   
    

How Can I Add Room Dimensions?

To show the overall length and width in the center of each room, follow these steps:

1. Click Room Dimensions.
2. Hover over a room to display a gray box showing the area that will be used to determine its length and width.
3. Click on a room to add the dimensions.
   
   
    

How Do I Add Outside Measurements?

To display the total length and width of your entire floor plan, follow these steps:

1. Click Outside Measurement.
2. Click anywhere in your drawing pane.
   
   
   
    

How Can I Customize the Look of the Measurements?

The examples above show the default settings for inside room measurements — for instance, the arrows point slightly away from the walls.

You can adjust the Measurement Wizard settings in the RoomSketcher App if you'd prefer a different look. You can have the arrows touch the wall directly or set a custom distance between the measurement lines and the wall.

How Can I Edit Individual Measurements?

Once you have placed arrow lines and text, you can modify them individually. You can move, delete, and change properties such as text size, line length, and whether they should appear on 2D or 3D Floor Plans.

Steps to move or delete individual elements

• Simply click and drag an element to move it.
• Use the straight arrows to size it
• Use the curved arrow to rotate it.
• Press the X to delete it.
  Note: You can delete measurements individually for precise control. The option to delete or clear all measurements at once is not available.
  
   

Can I clear all measurements at once?

Not yet. Currently, you’ll need to delete each measurement individually.

Steps to change properties

• Click a text label or arrow to select it, and its Properties appear in the right pane.
• You can change the text font size or label, the arrow line length, which type of floor plans the element should appear on, and more.
