How Can I Make Changes to an AI Render?

  • Updated

You can make changes to an AI Render in two ways:

  • Edit a saved AI Render in the RoomSketcher Web Portal using a predefined style, a text prompt, or a reference image.
  • Edit your RoomSketcher project in the RoomSketcher App, then create a new AI Render from the updated project.

Choose the option that matches what you want to change.

How Can I Edit a Saved AI Render?

Any AI Render that you have saved to your project can be opened again and edited in web portal.

You can:

  • Apply a predefined style to quickly explore a different interior look.
  • Use a text prompt to describe specific changes, such as changing furniture, colors, materials, lighting, or décor.
  • Add a reference image to show AI Render a specific piece of furniture, material, pattern, or other item you want to use.

Good to know: Editing an AI Render creates a new generated image. It does not change your RoomSketcher project, floor plan, 3D Photo, or Snapshot.

Find and Open a Saved AI Render

  1. Open your project in web portal.
  2. Click More in the top-right corner.
  3. Click Media Gallery.
  4. Go to the AI Renders section and click the AI Render you want to edit.
  5. Click AI Edit in the top right corner.

Apply A Predefined Style

Want to quickly give your room a different look?

  1. Open the saved AI Render.
  2. Under Edit Image, select Styles.
  3. Choose one of the available styles.
  4. Click Generate.

A new AI Render is created using the selected style.

Make Changes With a Text Prompt

Use a text prompt when you want to make a specific change.

  1. Open the saved AI Render.
  2. Under Edit Image, select Text Prompt.
  3. Describe the change you want to make.
  4. Click Generate.

Make Changes With a Reference Image

You can also upload an image together with your text prompt. This is useful when you want AI Render to use a particular piece of furniture, material, color, or design as inspiration.

  1. Open the saved AI Render.
  2. Under Edit Image, select Text Prompt.
  3. Click the image upload icon.
  4. Select a reference image from your device.
  5. Describe what you want to change and how the reference image should be used.
  6. Click Generate.

How Can I Make Changes Before Creating a New AI Render?

Want to change something before creating a new AI Render? For example, update wall colors, change out furniture, or layout details. Simply make your edits in the RoomSketcher App first, then return to web portal to create a new AI Render with your latest changes.

Here's how:

  1. Open the project in web portal.
  2. Click Edit Floor next to the floor you want to update.
  3. Click Edit in App.
Note: Make sure you have downloaded the RoomSketcher App.
  4. Make your changes in the RoomSketcher App and click Save.
  5. If you want to create an AI Render from a snapshot or 3D Photo, create a new snapshot or 3D Photo in the RoomSketcher App.
  6. Go back to web portal.
If you want to create an AI Render from a 3D Floor Plan, re-generate the floor plan in the floor plans section.
  7. Open Live 3D, the 3D Floor Plan  or go to the Media Gallery.
  8. Create a new AI Render.

Tip: If you updated something in the RoomSketcher App but do not see it in your AI Render, make sure you saved the project and reopened Live 3D, made a new 3D Photo, a new snapshot or a new 3D Floor Plan before creating the new render.

Which Option Should I Use?

Use an existing AI Render when you want to experiment with how the image looks. For example, trying another sofa, wall color, material, décor, lighting, or interior style.

Make changes in the RoomSketcher App when you want those changes to become part of your actual project. For example, changing the room layout, moving walls, replacing furniture in the project, or changing doors and windows.
