What Can I Do in Floor/Level Properties?

  • Updated

Level or Floor Properties let you control settings for an entire floor (level) in your project. These settings affect everything on that floor, such as wall height, materials, and editing behavior.

Use Floor/Level Properties when you want to make changes that apply to the whole floor/level at once.

You can access the properties either from web portal in your browser or from the RoomSketcher App.

What Can I Change in Floor/Level Properties?

Floor/Level Name

Rename your floor/level (for example: Ground Floor, Basement, Second Floor).

Wall Height

Set the height of all walls on the floor/level.

External Wall Material

Set the material used for all exterior walls on this floor/level.

Kitchen Top for Level

Only available in the RoomSketcher App - Set the material for kitchen countertops on this level.

Kitchen Front for Level

Only available in the RoomSketcher App - Set the material for kitchen cabinet fronts on this level.

3D Camera Position

Only available in the RoomSketcher App - Choose how the camera behaves for your 3D Floor Plans.

Ceiling and Floor Strips

Turn ceiling or floor strips (moldings, baseboards) on or off for the entire floor/level.

Font Size

Adjust the font size used for room names, furniture and text labels.

Lock Level

Lock the floor/level to prevent any changes. When a floor/level is locked, you cannot edit anything on that level, including:

  • Moving or adding walls, windows, doors, stairs, or furniture
  • Deleting walls, windows, doors, stairs, or furniture
  • Making any layout changes

So if you are wondering why you can’t move furniture or delete a wall, please check if the level is locked. If it is, turn off Lock to continue editing.

Tips

  • Changes apply to the entire floor/level
  • Use this for global updates instead of editing items one by one
  • The floor/level properties overwrite your account setting for the chosen floor/level
  • If something can’t be edited, always check if the floor/level is locked
