Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do the symbols follow architectural standards?
Yes, RoomSketcher uses widely recognized architectural drafting conventions to keep things familiar and professional.

What do dashed or dotted lines mean on a blueprint?
Dashed or dotted lines usually show features above or below your current view, like ceiling beams, open-to-below areas, or archways. When a furniture item or wall is drawn with dotted lines, it means that it is optional and will not be included in the final floor plan.

Do blueprint symbols change depending on region or country?
RoomSketcher uses international architectural standards, but small regional differences might exist. When unsure, you can add a note written in English.
