Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I need a paid subscription to show room sizes?
No, this feature is also available for RoomSketcher Free accounts.
Just note that you need to pay if you want to generate a floor
plan while using a Free subscription.
Why can’t I add a room size?
This usually means the room isn’t fully enclosed. Make sure
all the walls connect completely to form a closed shape so
the RoomSketcher App can calculate the area.
Will the room size appear on my printed or generated floor plans?
Yes! Once you've turned on the "Show Zone Size" option,
the room area will appear on both previews and generated
floor plans.
Can I adjust the square feet or square meters shown for a room?
The room size is calculated automatically based
on the walls you have drawn. If you want to show
a custom size instead, we recommend typing the
square feet or square meters directly into the
Zone Name field. This lets you display the room
size exactly as you want it to appear on your
floor plan.
