I Get a Safari Error When Clicking "Edit in App"

When you’re using the Safari browser in the RoomSketcher web portal and click Edit in App, you see this message:

Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid.

 

Why this happens

This message means that the RoomSketcher App is not installed on your computer.

To edit projects, Safari needs to open the RoomSketcher App. If the app isn’t installed, Safari can’t open the project and shows this error instead.
 

How to fix it

  1. Download and install the RoomSketcher App on your computer.
  2. Go back to the web portal.
  3. Click Edit in App again — your project should now open correctly in the RoomSketcher App.

Good to know

Web portal is used for managing projects, generating and downloading projects, or using AI to create floor plans. To edit projects, always use the RoomSketcher App.
