To make sure your floor plan prints at the correct scale, it's important to follow a few key steps.
- Do not print directly from your browser - this can distort the scale.
- Instead, open and print your floor plan in Adobe Acrobat Reader (or a similar program). This ensures your printer settings are accurate.
How to print with the correct settings
- Download your floor plan as a PDF Letterhead with the preferred scale (for example, 1/2" = 1'-0"), as described here.
- Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Choose Actual Size (not "Fit to Page" or "Shrink oversized pages").
- Click Properties and check that the correct paper is selected.
- Then print your floor - and it should be perfectly to scale.
